CONTROLLED CARELESSNESS

"CONTROLLED CARELESSNESS" IS FINDING THE BALANCE BETWEEN THE ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE OF A FORM AND THE EMOTIONAL COMPONENT OF THAT SAME FORM.  IT'S ABOUT BEING FIRM AND YET FLEXIBLE IN THE SAME MOMENT. IT'S FOLLOWING ALL THE RULES WHILE BREAKING ALL THE RULES.

In this short video features a singular horizontal paper scroll which features repetitive energetic forms which could as easily represent molecules, violets in a field or a cluster of distant stars. These free-form shapes appear animated.  Intermingling and perhaps being magnetically pulled in one direction or the other, sometimes bumping sometimes lingering in intimate proximity to one another. Like Georges Serat's dots of paint which construct a picture at a distance in Pointallism style, these forms also create a secondary image that can only be imagined in ones mind.
