Timo has long been a fan of film-making. From the first time he watched the movie Some Like It Hot! he was hooked on the power of cinema. At Ferris State University he was introduced to the magic of animation and short films, and at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston he discovered the work of Bill Viola and Nam Jun Pike. An early adopter of the YouTube.com movement and non-linear editing techniques Elliott was a self-taught wonder kid. He created THE SECRET INTERNATIONAL OUTDOOR ART AND FILM FESTIVAL with Ann Kenniston in the early 2000 featuring the work of many underground art film makers from Los Angeles, Berlin and around the world. In 2015 he joined forces with OUTSIDE THE BOX, a non-profit after school creativity project to teach under-served students the history of film-making and how they themselves could create films using their own phones as movie cameras. Timo’s own award-winning films have been both live-action narrative and documentary.
